BayBoss

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: November 7, 2026

These Terms govern your use of BayBoss, web-based shop management software for auto repair businesses (the "Service"). The Service is provided by Craig Joseph Stenson ("we", "us"). By signing up for or continuing to use the Service, you agree to these Terms and are contracting with Craig Joseph Stenson.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be of legal age and, if you sign up for a business, have authority to bind that business. You must provide accurate information, keep it up to date, keep your login credentials confidential, and you are responsible for all activity under your shop's account, including activity by employees you invite.

The Service and licence

BayBoss provides repair orders, estimates, customer approvals, scheduling, invoicing, inventory, reports, photo/video uploads and customer texting. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your shop's internal business during your subscription.

Acceptable use

You must not misuse the Service, including:

  • using it for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any law, including texting and consumer-protection laws;
  • sending spam, fraudulent or deceptive messages, or texting people who have not agreed to receive them or who have opted out;
  • infringing anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights;
  • interfering with the Service's security, including uploading malware, probing for vulnerabilities, or scraping;
  • reverse engineering, reselling or redistributing the Service, or circumventing usage limits (such as the monthly text allowance).

Your content

You keep ownership of the data you enter (customers, vehicles, repair orders, photos and videos). You grant us a limited licence to host and process it solely to provide the Service.

Intellectual property

Craig Joseph Stenson retains all rights in the Service, including its software, documentation and the BayBoss name and branding.

Payments and subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, renewal, taxes, cancellation and refunds are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled; cancelling keeps access until the end of the paid period. See also our Refund Policy.

Service level

We work to keep BayBoss available and reliable, but we do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" without implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may stop using the Service at any time. After termination you may request an export of your data within 30 days, after which it may be deleted.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages (including lost profits, data or goodwill), and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it.

Indemnity

You will indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.

General

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, and disputes will be handled in its courts. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in a merger or acquisition. Neither party is responsible for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control. We may update these Terms and will post the new version here.
